GI Coil Manufacturer in China | Galvanized Steel Coil Supplier

GI (Galvanized Iron) steel coil is zinc-coated steel with excellent corrosion resistance, used for roofing, wall cladding, and structural framing in construction and industrial applications.

What is GI steel coil?

GI (Galvanized Iron) steel coil is a steel product coated with a layer of zinc through a hot-dip galvanizing process. This zinc coating provides excellent corrosion resistance, making GI coils the foundational material for roofing, wall cladding, and structural components in construction.

As a GI coil manufacturer in China, Shandong Ruizhite produces GI coils conforming to GB/T 2518 standards, with zinc coating weights from Z30 to Z275 g/m².

GI Coil FAQ

Z90-Z120 g/m² handles most general outdoor applications fine. If you're in a coastal area, high-humidity tropical zone, or near industrial emissions, go with Z180-Z275 for longer service life. Higher zinc means higher cost — we'll help you find the balance between budget and durability based on where you're building.

Yes, and many of our clients do exactly that. GI coil costs less than PPGI and offers solid corrosion resistance. The tradeoff: you get a metallic silver finish (no color options), and in exposed outdoor applications, the zinc may develop a whitish patina over time. For factory buildings and warehouses where looks aren't critical, GI is the practical choice.

Typically one 20-foot container — about 25-28 tons. If you need less, ask us about LCL (shared container) options or combining GI with PPGI in the same shipment. We try to work with new buyers rather than impose rigid minimums.
